Yes, it is THE Space Needle floor lamp [finally]

spaceneedlelight by Pat TassoniAn upcoming show at Childhood’s End Gallery [biblicly titled 'let there be light'] has prompted me to finally build the thing that I’ve wanted to for so, so long — the saucer section has parts that I collected over 3 years ago.

It stands at about seven feet in height. It is fun to walk around/under it and pretend I’m Godzilla smashing tourists in the streets. Even though the bulbs are pictured in red, the display will most likely have green bulbs — red just photographs so well.

This is the first photo. I still have to add the halo; and I just ordered 50 toggle bolts for the gills [think of a mushroom cap]. See the finished product in the end of August and through September at Childhood’s End Gallery.
